RUSAL appoints representative director of Japan office-The 21st China (Guangzhou ) Int’l Casting product Exhibition

RUSAL has appointed Mr Ayumi Murakami as Representative Director of the Company’s office in Tokyo. Mr Murakami-san joined the Sales team in Japan as a Technical Customer Support Manager in March 2015. In February 2019, Murakami-san was appointed as an acting Representative Director of RUSAL Japan. Before joining RUSAL Murakami-san worked for Mitsubishi Aluminium from 1993 in various technical roles.
During his work in RUSAL Murakami-san demonstrated excellent results in building relationships with the Company’s Japanese customers, launching key qualifications to grow the business in Japan and organized RUSAL’s participation in international industrial exhibitions, including Metal Expo Tokyo in December 2019.
According to a market research, demand for primary aluminium in Japan was around 2 million tonnes in 2019. In the meantime Asian sales accustomed for 19% of the total RUSAL sales in the first nine months of 2019.
