According to reports, Mexican steel company Grupo Simec and Minas Gerais state representatives have signed a letter of intent plan to invest 1.3 billion reais in Minas Gerais in the next few years to expand their existing department in Itaúna and its rolling, drawing and continuous casting operations.
Grupo Simec''s steel mills in Mexico, Canada and the United States had a total annual production capacity of 6 million tons. This investment project will create 460 jobs for the local area.
