The Jackson, Mich., City Council has voted unanimously to approve the resolution to grant a 12-year tax exemption to Mag-Tec Casting Corp., as reported by Mlive.com.

A diecasting specialist, the company is purchasing more than $980,000 worth of new equipment. Mag-Tec Casting offers aluminum, magnesium and zinc castings, including CNC machining and shot blast finishing, and serves the automotive and electronics industries.

The company reportedly expects to create 3 new jobs within two years of completing the project and retain three existing jobs.
