Hot, cold and coated sheet steel inventory for Japan in the end of December decreased by 1.8% (74,000 tons) from the previous month to 4.18 million tons, and it was the decrease for the first time in 2 months. Inventories decreased because iron and steel makers liquidate output, import material decreased, and coil center controlled arrival of goods.
