JISF: Japanese steel industry output to increase in FY19-The 20th China (Guangzhou)Int’l Fastener & Equipment Exhibition

It was reported that the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF) predicted that Japanese steel production and exports demands will be enhanced in the 2018-2019 fiscal year.
After the economy declined in 2018, with the sustained strong demand in the machinery and automotive industries, the crude steel output in Japanese domestic market was expected to go up slightly in the 2019 fiscal year.
Furthermore, JISF expected that despite the unstable market anxiety caused by the US-China trade war and the economic slowdown in developing countries, overseas demand will keep going up as well as Japanese steel exports will continue to strengthen in the next fiscal year, while Japanese steel imports might keep unchanged.
