Suhner Industrial Products has introduced four cordless, compact grinders. Each grinder features an electric motor and an 18-V battery pack with a total capacity of 4 Ah. A detachable particle guard protects the motor from coarse dust.
The ASC 9 straight grinder is suitable for work with nonwoven brushes and flap wheels. Typical work includes the removal of tarnishing and blending on matte surfaces. The ABC 7 cordless belt grinder is designed for use in tight spaces, such as fillet welds or miters. The machine offers extremely fast belt changes for grinding or polishing applications, says the company.
The AKC 3 battery fillet weld grinder is made for metalworking, with reduction gears that make it very powerful. It has a lightweight design and long neck for maneuverability and use in tight places.
The ATC 7 tube polisher is designed for tubes up to 1.75 in. dia. It offers a wraparound angle of at least 180 degrees that is not maintained by the contact pressure.
