US' JD Fields acquires

It was reported that Houston-based steel distributor JD Fields & Company, Inc. has acquired Alameda Pipe & Steel Co. to get into the steel manufacturing industry.
JD Fields is an international supplier and distributor of API line pipe for oil and gas usage and piling systems for heavy civil, port and marine projects.
The acquisition has made JD Fields keep on evolving into a vertically integrated supplier and producer of its steel goods, and the steel products were able to be distributed and produced by one company and also to do an expansion on the West Coast.
This acquisition will add value for both JD Fields and Alameda''s clients with better choices.
