It was reported that Mazda Motor Corporation, Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) and JFE Steel Corporation have jointly developed the cold stamping parts for vehicle body, made by 1,310 MPa-class high-strength steel, which was the first innovation in the world.
In the recent year, it was an important goal for auto makers to build a car body in lighter weight for improving steering stability and fuel economy. At the same time, it can maintain a strong body to provide absolute safety. The high-strength steel performed its functions with thinner steel to accomplish auto parts’ developed conditions.
