Kalinga Nagar oustees flay Odisha government-2017 China(Guangzhou) Int’l Bearing and Equipment Exhibition

Express News Service reported that a protest meeting was organised by Tata Steel project oustees and families of 13 persons who died in the Kalinga Nagar firing, at Kalinga Nagar.
They held the State Government responsible for not holding any official guilty in the Kalinga Nagar firing that claimed lives of innocent people who were protesting land acquisition by Tata Steel for the steel plant in 2006.
Organised under the banner of Bisthapita O Khatigrastha Surakshya Manch, the meeting started with paying tributes to the deceased at Ambagadia in Kalinga Nagar.
The agitators said it was unfortunate that the State Cabinet approved the report on Kalinga Nagar, which found no one guilty while several innocent lives were lost.
The Cabinet, in its first meeting after the ministry reshuffle, had approved the proposals to table the report of the Justice PK Mohanty Commission of Inquiry into Kalinga Nagar police firing last week.
