Assmang Ltd., South Africa has been proceeding with Sakura Ferroalloys Project, a manganese-containing ferroalloy production business in Sarawaku, Malaysia, and this time announced its progress situation.
All the main construction materials have already been on site, and the construction of the steel furnace shells are going on, and the contractor have continued construction work for completion.
The Company has a goal for production of 170,000 tons in a total of ferro-manganese and silico manganese in the fiscal year 2017 (July 2016 - June 2017), and currently the construction work is going on as scheduled.
Besides, this time''s announcement shows (1) Main logistics contracts are completed, (2) Contracts to unload raw materials and ship products at the port of Bintulu are under negotiation, (3) The blending ratio of raw materials to be put into the furnace is fixed and (4) Negotiations with raw material suppliers are going on at the moment
