Japan’s stainless steel exports fall in January--The 15th China(Guangzhou)Int'l Stainless Steel Industry Exhibition

According to data released by Japan Iron & Steel Federation (JISF), the country’s exports of stainless steel totaled 82,915 tons in January, falling by 18.9% year on year.
Meanwhile, the export prices of stainless steel averaged at US$3,674/ton in January, decreasing by 7.9% year on year. The total export revenue generated by stainless steel amounted to US$346 million.
In January, the exports made to China dropped by 47.6%; those to Korea fell by 3.9% and those to Taiwan declined by 11.9%, all compared to the figures in a year ago.
