Global crude stainless steel output up in Q3 2013--The 15th China(Guangzhou)Int'l Stainless Steel Industry Exhibition

According to statistics released by the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF), the global crude stainless steel output totaled 9.32 million tons in the third quarter of 2013, rising by 1% on the prior comparable period.
In the given period of time, China increased its output by 20.7% to 4.84 million tons year on year.
Meanwhile, the crude stainless steel production in Asia (excluding China) totaled 2.16 million tons, up by 2.4%; that in the Western Europe/Africa region totaled 1.58 million tons, decreasing by 9.6%; that in the Americas totaled 1.8 million tons, all in comparison of the figures in the same time of last year.
