South Korea decides to review AD tariff on Japanese stainless steel plates-The 21st China(Guangzhou)Int'l Stainless Steel Industry Exhibition

According to the report, the South Korea Trade Commission (KTC) would soon decide whether to extend the existing anti-dumping duty on stainless steel plates imported from Japan or not.
The duty was imposed firstly in 2011 and extended once in 2016, currently, the duty rate was 13.17%, including several Japanese steelmakers such as Nippon Steel, Nippon Yakin Kogyo, and JFE Steel.
The stainless steel plates market in South Korea was about KRW 300 billion in 2018, equivalent to 100,000 tons.
Local steelmakers accounted for 70% market share while Japanese goods accounted for about 20%.
