USITC withdraws AD duty on stainless steel bar from 3 countries, while maintains India’s-The 20th China(Guangzhou)Int'l Stainless Steel Industry Exhibition

The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) announced a decision of 5-year sunset review on stainless steel from Brazil, Japan, Spain and India.
According to the announcement, the existing anti-dumping duty order on the imports from India will be remained, while that on the imports from Brazil, Japan and Spain was withdrawn.
The USITC thought that the harm to the US’ domestic industries will be continued or reoccur within a reasonably foreseeable time if the current anti-dumping duty on the involved products from India was withdrawn; however, those products from Brazil, Japan and Spain was determined not to cause the same problem like India.
The dumping margin on stainless steel bar from Brazil, Japan and Spain was previously set at 19.43%, 61.47%, and 7.72%-62.85% respectively, depending on the manufacturers. The dumping margin on Indian stainless steel bar was in a range from 2.01%-30.92%, depending on the manufacturers.
